Join us on Thursday, October 20 for our 4th Annual Candlelight Vigil, Petals on the Pamlico, as we honor the 36 NC residents who have lost their lives to domestic abuse this year alone. The event will begin at 7 pm with Empowerment Pebble painting to promote hope and healing, as well as "A Walk in Her Shoes," a self-paced immersive educational activity. We will then move into the floating gazebo to begin the vigil to recognize each victim and release petals into the Pamlico in their memory. See below for more information. Also throughout the month, we will be participating in various community events to promote domestic violence awareness including: -Grace Martin Senior Center Fall Festival Oct 19 10:30-12 -Aurora's Fish and Farm Fest Oct. 21-23 -Beaufort/Hyde Partnership for Children Touch-a-Truck Oct. 29, 9-12 ***If you would like for us to be at your next event or speak with your group, please contact Jaclyn Cullipher at clientservices@ruths-house.org***
